We’re living in a new reality of political campaigns. With the COVID-19 crisis still in full swing (and no signs of a plan from the Donald Trump administration to deal with it), we’ve had to make quite a few adaptations to our plans.

Field operations are basically gone. It’s just not safe to be sending folks out, door to door, in the middle of a global pandemic. That brings good news and bad news:

The good news is that thanks to the innovation of grassroots, mass movements like the Bernie Sanders campaign, digital contact and distributed organizing is more powerful than ever. We have a lot of new tools at our disposal as we fight to re-elect Ro.

But there’s bad news too. Many of these tactics are significantly more expensive than in-person alternatives, and at the beginning of this campaign, we weren’t planning on having to rely on them for 100% of our voter contact efforts.

That’s why we’re asking for your help. We’ve set an ambitious goal of raising $25,000 in the month of August to help pivot to these safer strategies. Can you rush a donation to help us get there?

When it comes to funding critical campaign activities, we really can’t overstate the importance of your support. Ro takes $0 from corporate PACs, lobbyists, or PACs of any kind! Take our word for it – that’s not something you see everyday in Congress.

But it’s worth it. That independence has allowed Ro to be an unapologetically progressive voice in the halls of power. From international peace to economic justice, Ro is constantly paving the way for our movement and showing folks across the country what’s politically possible.
