Here's what actually happened:

FACT: Family farm bankruptcies surged 46% in 2025 — the second consecutive year of increases — with the Midwest hit hardest.

FACT: Soybean exports to China dropped by more than half after China stopped buying U.S. soybeans in retaliation for Trump's trade war. Farmers still haven't recovered.

FACT: Input costs — fertilizer, fuel, machinery — keep climbing, while crop prices stay low. Economists project $44 billion in net farm income losses from the 2025-26 crops.

Numbers don't lie. Republicans, on the other hand?

Farmers in the 14th District are feeling every bit of this. And while Trump offers emergency bailouts to paper over the damage his own policies caused, I'm fighting for real, lasting solutions — trade policies that work for our farmers, not against them.
