Friend,
Four years ago today, the Supreme Court handed down the Dobbs decision and overturned Roe v. Wade — stripping away a freedom women in this country had held for half a century.
I want to tell you why this day hits home for me, but before I do, I’m asking you to pitch in $10 to help me flip this seat and fight for the rights of Tenneasseans in Washington. [ [link removed] ]
I was raised by a single mother.
She worked for the phone company, was a proud union member, and she never made much — but she made every decision that mattered in our home.
And the most important one she ever made was this: when I was a teenager, she decided to pack us up and start over somewhere better, so I'd have a real shot at the life she wanted for me. Years later, she told me why in plain words: she knew I couldn't succeed where we were.
That was her decision to make. Her life. Her family. Her future. Nobody else's.
That's what freedom is. And it's exactly what the Dobbs decision ook away — the right of a woman to make the most personal decisions about her own body, her own life, and her own family, without politicians forcing their way into the room.
Here in Tennessee, we now have one of the most extreme abortion bans in the country.
I think about the women in my life — my mother, my wife, Ericka, our two daughters — and I believe with everything I have: they deserve every freedom this country promised, not fewer rights than the generation before them.
The same people who gerrymandered our map to silence our voices are the ones who want to control women's bodies. It's the same instinct: power over people. The only way we stop it is by electing people who will actually fight back.
I will be one of those people. I'll fight for the rights and freedoms of every woman in TN-07 and across this country — because I was raised by a woman who showed me exactly what a woman can do when she's free to decide her own future.
On this anniversary, will you chip in $10 to help elect someone who will fight for the rights and freedoms of all women? [ [link removed] ]

My mother made her own way, and every woman deserves that same freedom. We can fight for that freedom together.
With hope and determination,
Vincent Dixie
