Early voting is happening now, and we've found a way to expand our Get-Out-The-Vote operation and bank even more votes for Ed before Election Day next Tuesday.
So John gave the green light to expand our budget even though we didn't have that money budgeted previously. We're about 50% of the way to filling that budget hole, and we are aiming to get there before today is over.

I made a tough call yesterday.
It was during the middle of a Get-Out-The-Vote meeting, and it became evident that, with some more money, we could bank a significant number of additional votes right now, before Election Day next week.
The money wasn't budgeted before yesterday. But I approved the plan.
This is a risky decision. Time is running out and Joe Kennedy is getting desperate in his attacks. To get caught in the final weekend with limited funds could be a disaster.
But I felt good making the bet that if we asked, you'd come through and fill the budget hole to help Ed win. I hope that you can, because this could be the difference between victory and defeat.

This was NOT an easy decision. But the truth is, this campaign is unique in the way it's funded and people have been stepping up A LOT lately.
