JOHN,
Four years ago today, the Supreme Court handed down the Dobbs decision and stripped away a constitutional right that women in this country had held for half a century.
In an instant, the freedom to make your own health care decisions stopped being a right and became a question — answered differently depending on what state you live in and who holds power in Washington.
The movement that overturned Roe is not finished. The goal is a national ban, one that reaches into every state, Virginia included, no matter what our own laws say. The only thing standing in its way is who controls Congress.
So let me tell you exactly where our current congressman stands, because it has never mattered more. But before I get to it, I’m asking you to pitch in $5 to help me win this race and go to Washington to fight for the rights of Virginians. [ [link removed] ]
Rob Wittman co-sponsored a "personhood" bill to define life as beginning at the moment of fertilization — the legal cornerstone of a nationwide abortion ban with no exceptions.
He voted for a federal abortion ban at 20 weeks. He's earned a consistent record of praise from the very groups working to end these rights for good. He even voted against certifying a free and fair election.
Put simply, he is a man who has spent his career voting to take your rights and freedoms from you.
I spent 21 years in the Navy. I know the difference between a slogan and a serious threat — and I know what it takes to stand in front of one. You don't meet a real danger with platitudes and lip service. You meet it with people who understand the stakes and have the spine to act.
The assault on our rights is exactly that kind of threat: deliberate, well-funded, and advancing while too many in Washington look away or quietly cheer it on. It demands serious people who will put themselves between that threat and the people it targets. That is the job I'm asking for.
Will you stand in it with me? Chip in $5 today to help us flip this seat, flip the House, and help us fight for the freedom of Virginians and Americans. [ [link removed] ]
This is serious, and I am serious about winning this thing.
Thank you,
Jason Knapp
