This weekend, in a rare Saturday session, the House passed a bipartisan emergency funding bill to help the U.S. Postal Service.

The bill reverses Trump donor and Postmaster General Louis LeJoy's dangerous decision to shut down mail sorting machines and restrict overtime pay. It also requires the Postal Service to prioritize election mail as first-class.

The bipartisan bill should be a slam dunk. Because of COVID-19, Americans are expected to vote by mail in record numbers.

But Donald Trump isn't letting up. As he said in a recent Fox News interview, he won't help the Postal Service because he thinks sabotaging voting by mail helps him win.

It's anti-democratic. Our President should be standing up for the right to vote, not doing everything he can to undermine it.

Today I'm calling on Donald Trump and Mitch McConnell to stand with the Postal Service and stand up for our democracy. Can you add your name and join me in calling them out?

As usual, the only thing Mitch McConnell is doing is enabling Donald Trump's worst behavior.

Instead of letting the Senate vote on the bill, McConnell dismissed concerns about the Postal Service as conspiracy theories.

It's wrong. With a global pandemic and the most important election in a generation, we deserve better.
