John,
Dogs who are forced to fight in dogfighting operations face a life of cruelty and an agonizing death. Either they are viciously torn apart by other dogs during a fight or — if they lose the fight but manage to survive — the dogs may be tortured and executed by dogfighters, the very humans those dogs have been fighting to please. This is perhaps the most horrific part of dogfighting — abusers manipulate dogs who are trying desperately to please them, overriding the natural instinct dogs have to not fight to the death, in order to make dogs fight, only to abandon, torture, or kill them when they fail.
John, I know you’d give anything to spare a dog that fate. That’s why I’m asking you to take action for dogfighting victims by learning the facts that could save their lives. |
One of the most important steps you can take is to learn the signs of dogfighting so you can recognize and report cruelty when you see it. This can help authorities locate dogfighting operations, bring perpetrators to justice, and help us fight for stronger laws that hold dogfighters accountable for their crimes and protect other dogs from cruelty and death.
Please take a moment to find out how to identify common signs of dogfighting operations and their victims. Your action can save lives. |
For the animals,
