Friend -- For all the years I've known Lt. Gov. Davis, he has put ending gun violence at the top of his priorities.

It's because he knows the toll of this crisis on a community. It's why he leads statewide efforts to invest in violence prevention programs and has helped expand efforts to tackle firearm suicide.

Fellow advocate, when I was honored with the Keystone Courage Award from CeaseFirePA, my first thought was you.

Advocates like you keep showing up because you refuse to accept that gun violence is inevitable. 

When I was just a kid in McKeesport, an incident of gun violence in my neighborhood spurred me into a lifetime of public service. It is why I care about ending gun violence as much as you do.

And we need more leaders who agree. I’m going to tell you more about how I got into this work, but first, will you chip in to CeaseFirePA PAC so we can elect a gun-violence-prevention majority in Pennsylvania?

I got into public service because I believed then, as I believe now, that no family should go through what I witnessed. I knew I had to do everything in my power to prevent what happened to my community from happening again and make sure families of victims receive the support they need.

Not only do I believe it’s possible to end gun violence — it’s our duty. Pennsylvanians deserve to feel and be safe in our communities.

As Pennsylvania’s lieutenant governor, I’m working with CeaseFirePA to advance gun safety legislation and investments in community violence prevention programming that has been proven to save lives.

We know what works. Now we need to make sure we elect and re-elect leaders who are committed to ending the epidemic of gun violence. Will you help make that happen?
