This team is amazing. Since we launched our campaign on April 16, more than 10,000 people have donated.

And because the majority of our contributions come from small-dollar donors (unlike my opponent's), our average online donation is just $42.55. That’s a true sign of a grassroots effort, and I’m so proud of that number.

I can’t thank you enough, John. But we can’t take our eyes off the prize: beating Dan Lipinski.

We’re going up against a seven-term incumbent who’s got machine politics and big corporate interests in his corner. (His last FEC report showed that 39% of the money he raised came from corporate PACs.)

We refuse to play that game to compete with Dan Lipinski -- we’re relying on people like you chipping in before deadlines like tonight’s. We don’t have to match his campaign dollar for dollar, but we do need to close the gap.

Can I count on you to chip in before tonight’s fundraising deadline so we can compete with Dan’s wealthy corporate funders?
