John - why is hitting our August goal so important? Here's a quick rundown:
First: the Republican Governors Association named Roy their top target in 2020 - and said they would spend whatever it takes to defeat him.
Then: Roy's far-right opponent has been raking in cash at dozens of in-person fundraisers with few masks and little social distancing - and to make matters worse he said it'll be "a lot more of this" until November.
And now: shady dark money groups are spending half a million dollars on attack ads against Roy - in one week alone!
Hitting this $250,000 August goal means we'll have the resources we need to fight back against the RGA, Dan Forest, and his dark-money backers.
But right now, we're still about $73,000 from our goal - with less than a week to go we can't afford to take our foot off the gas.
Can Roy count on you to chip in $10 to help fight back against the far-right's dark money machine?

Thanks,

We hope everyone is staying safe during this ongoing health emergency. The Cooper Campaign is now working remotely, and we encourage all those who are able to practice social distancing. We've taken the step of cancelling all in-person fundraising for the time being, making grassroots online outreach and fundraising even more critical than before. Roy and the rest of the team will keep working for a more prosperous, better-educated, and healthy North Carolina, and we hope you will stay with us in this fight. Further information on the Coronavirus and our response can be found here.
