Friend –

To close out National Immigrant Heritage Month, we have a special edition of Moving Forward Mondays. On Monday, June 29, 6 p.m., we'll welcome an insightful panel of experts from our statewide immigrants' rights coalition. Our guest speakers will detail our collective efforts to ensure Pennsylvania is a safe home for our immigrant neighbors who are vital to the fabric of our communities.

As part of the program, you'll learn how the governor can limit state collaboration with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). We'll also discuss our advocacy to urge Governor Shapiro to use his full authority to reduce the destructive impact of the Trump administration's inhumane assault on immigrant residents. Please register now to join us and share the invite with a friend. Please note: this link will take you to a third-party website, zoom.us.

Panelists:

• Julissa Medina, tactics coordinator with MILPA (Movement of Immigrant Leaders in Pennsylvania) and co-coordinator of the Driving PA Forward Coalition.
• Tsehaitu Abye, a second-generation Ethiopian American community organizer, entrepreneur, and founder of BDBC Services.
• Zeynep Emanet, civic engagement manager at CAIR Philadelphia.
• Pastor Linda Orsen Theophilus, pastor of Emmanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church of Eastmont.
