We’re expecting between 350,000 and 375,000 voters to cast their ballots in the NY-01 election by November 3, 2020. Our latest internal polling shows us within striking distance, and if we can reach voters with my background and reasons for running, the data show we win.
Because there are no Senate races across our state this year, my name will be at the top of the ticket, right alongside our former vice president Joe Biden and Senator Kamala Harris in their race against Donald Trump and Mike Pence. And I am exceedingly proud to have my name next to theirs.
The president and his GOP allies have rolled out their strategy to win suburban swing districts like ours -- and Zeldin is fulfilling his commitment to do and say whatever it takes to try to stop us. Roll Call's Stuart Rothenberg recently reported, “Zeldin apparently figures he needs to scare suburban voters into thinking that their lives and property are at risk.”
Our new poll tells us that IF we tell voters about my deep community ties as a Suffolk mom and my background as a scientist at Stony Brook University, we can get ahead of the next unsubstantiated attack against me -- and we can defeat one of the science-denying, anti-choice, climate-denying Trump sycophants in Congress

We are in the final 2.5 months of this campaign, and spending is starting to ramp up.
