Hey there -- Republicans absolutely, positively, definitely DO NOT want you to pay attention to down-ballot races this year.
The reality is, state and local races matter a TON for our long-term political outlook. Whoever wins down the ballot in 2020 -- a "high-stake battle for control," according to The Hill -- will determine whether we have fair elections or not for the next 10 years.
So who will it be? Democrats or Republicans? Well, right now the GOP is outspending us in those smaller races. We're not alarmed YET, but we have to catch up.
