Women sound the alarm first because we get hit first. Data centers are
going up across the country, so we surveyed you to get your opinion on
them. Almost half of you already live next to one or watched one get
proposed, and more than three in four of you don't want it.

You named water as your first concern. One data center can swallow five
million gallons a day while our bills climb to pay for the power plants
feeding it. The companies promise jobs, and almost none of you believed
them. A finished data center runs on about fifty workers, and the women
whose jobs it erases never get hired back.
A handful of tech billionaires are draining our towns to run their
servers, and it just so happens that they are the same men bankrolling the
war on women.
