** Chair's Corner
Summer has officially kicked off; the kids are out of school and active across the county, including serving as interns at the Fairfax Headquarters. Please stop by to say hi!
The field operations team to re-elect Senator Warner and a Democratic Congressional slate is up and running - stay tuned for details about ways to get involved across our Magisterial Districts and "Beyond Fairfax" - in targeted Virginia Congressional races.
And please mark your calendar for the new date of the July Membership meeting, Thursday, July 23. We'll have important votes to support the three freedom amendments: enshrining marriage rights, abortion rights, and the restoration of voting rights. We'll also consider an endorsement request from Democratic candidates in the Town of Herndon. Fairfax Dems are energized and ready to turn out the vote!
Onward — always together.
Debbie Linick
Chair, Fairfax County Democratic Committee
** Juneteenth with the FCDC Black Caucus at Gum Springs
Juneteenth reminds us that freedom delayed has never stopped our pursuit of freedom. As we celebrate the day enslaved Black Americans in Galveston, Texas, finally learned they were free, we also recognize that the struggle for equality and opportunity continues. Our ancestors passed down resilience, community, and joy. We honor their legacy by protecting all three. Today, we celebrate our history, our culture, and our enduring hope for a more just future.
Happy Juneteenth. ❤️🖤💚✊🏾 - FCDC Black Caucus Facebook post [[link removed]]
