Right now, hundreds of wildfires are currently burning across California. Over 250,000 Californians are under evacuation orders and our firefighters are working around the clock to save loved ones, homes, and animals. 
 
 
The California Fire Foundation is a charity that provides critical support to victims, firefighters, and communities affected by wildfire and disaster throughout California
 
Here in California, we’re no strangers to the ravages of climate change and fire season. But this year seems to be especially difficult to navigate because of the pandemic, drought, and recent heatwaves. 
 
We’re doing everything we can to help wildfire victims — including issuing a price gouging alert to make sure families aren’t illegally cheated out of fair prices for essential goods and services. 
 
Team, if you’d like to join us in taking action, one thing you can do today is to donate to the California Fire Foundation — one of a number of nonprofits that is on the frontlines in helping victims recover and supporting our firefighters. 
 
 
2020 has been a tough year, but I know that when we come together — whether it’s to help victims of a natural disaster, or at the ballot box to demand justice — I know we’ll get through this and rebuild stronger.
