Justice Samuel Alito's son has been secretly working as an attorney inside the Treasury Department since the early months of Trump's second term, briefed on the most sensitive legal matters across the entire department, offering counsel at the highest level on Treasury policy and law. Alito's son was working inside the Treasury Department while a lawsuit challenging Trump's emergency powers landed before the court with the Treasury named as a defendant. He maintained no public profile, avoided giving his last name, and the Treasury never disclosed his employment in court filings. His father did not recuse himself. The Treasury Department is now administering Trump's $1.8 billion "Anti-Weaponization Fund," taxpayer money with no congressional approval and no independent oversight, currently paying out to the January 6th insurrectionists Trump pardoned. Alito’s son sits in the office providing legal oversight for that fund. When challenges reach the Supreme Court, they land in front of a bench that includes his father. This court is not just extreme. It is corrupt. Clarence Thomas accepted years of luxury travel, private jet flights, and undisclosed vacation accommodations from a Texas billionaire with interests before the court. He never disclosed it or recused himself. When Congress demanded answers, the court stonewalled. Samuel Alito accepted a private jet flight to an Alaskan fishing lodge from a conservative mega-donor. He flew a flag associated with the January 6th election denial movement outside his home. He declined to recuse himself from cases where conflicts were obvious. No accountability or consequences. This is the court Leonard Leo built with $1.6 billion in dark money. The court that granted Trump criminal immunity. The court that gutted the Voting Rights Act. The court that opened the floodgates for the unlimited dark money that paid for all of it. The only answer to a system this corrupt is to reform the institution at the top of it.
