We wanted to make sure you heard about key victories from last Tuesday’s runoff elections here in Georgia! We’re proud to congratulate three Democracy Champions we endorsed who won their races:
Mo Ivory, Democratic Nominee, Fulton County Commission Chairwoman
Jodi Merriday, Democratic Nominee, Fulton County Commissioner, District 3
Josh McLaurin, Democratic Nominee, Lieutenant Governor
After helping get out the vote, we’re also excited to report that Democrat Adrienne White won a hotly contested special election for Senate District 7. In addition, Democrats flipped seats to expand majorities on the Augusta-Richmond and Columbus-Muscogee County Commissions.
State and local races like these help decide how elections are run — and who has the freedom to vote.
So from now through November and beyond, we’ll keep fighting to elect Democracy Champions up and down the ballot.
