[2]National Nurses United
On Saturday we did something we’ve never done before.
In the face of an unprecedented health care crisis, we took creative and
socially distant actions across the country together to demand Medicare
for All. So many volunteers and supporters like you stepped up to make our
public demand for change incredibly powerful.
There were nearly 100 volunteer-organized actions in 21 states and the
District of Columbia, with well over 1,000 supporters in attendance! You
can take a look at some of the highlights below.

Builder training on Tuesday or Thursday this week to get plugged in?
If you’ve already joined a training, remember to take the next steps –
whether that's downloading the Empower app, adding your contacts, or
starting your first conversations.

The goal of our work this summer — from our new Movement Builder program,
to legislative visits, and this Day of Action — has centered around
activating and growing our movement for Medicare for All to demonstrate
our power and put more pressure on our elected leaders.
We were able to activate tons of new people on Saturday because of the
work we’ve done together over the last few months to grow this movement.
But that work must continue in order to make our next actions even bigger
and rise to the scale we need to take on the corporate health care
industry and win Medicare for All.
That’s why we’re training supporters on a key new tool to make it easy for
you to use your relationships and connections to turn passive supporters
of Medicare for All into active ones.

There are millions of people in the country who say they support Medicare
for All yet haven’t taken any sort of action to make it happen. Public
opinion is on our side, but if we aren’t able to translate some of that
support into active involvement in our movement, it will be nearly
impossible to win.
One of the most powerful (and safest) things we can do right now is talk
to people within our own existing networks – our friends, family,
neighbors, coworkers – about Medicare for All. Studies show that these
1-on-1 conversations with trusted people are more effective than any ad or
email at changing minds and encouraging action.

in order to take on the corporate health care industry and win Medicare
for All. Sign up for a training now.
Thank you for everything you do,
