In just a moment, I am going to ask you to make a contribution to Steve Bullock before our August fundraising deadline expires. But first, I need to explain why this deadline is critical to our chances of winning this Senate seat.

We've set an ambitious goal of reaching 75,000 grassroots contributions this month to defend Governor Bullock from outside attacks and expand our efforts to reach voters here in Montana.

And because our campaign refuses to take a dime from corporate PACs, the only way we can fight these attacks is if a whole lot of people like you step up in the next 7 days.

You see, while Washington politicians like Mitch McConnell and our opponent in this race beg corporate special interests for campaign cash and super PAC attacks, Governor Bullock focuses on doing right by the people of Montana and relying on everyday folks to fuel our campaign.

So, this is a big goal. It would be more contributions than we've collected in any other month -- but I think we can do it. That's why I'm asking:
