Republicans have made it clear: fighting for you is not on their agenda.
They aren’t trying to pass legislation to make groceries or housing or gas more affordable. They aren’t concerned with holding Donald Trump (the self-proclaimed “Peace President”) accountable for his illegal and unnecessary wars. They aren’t interested in reining in Trump’s sweeping tariffs that have made life way too expensive.
Instead, this Congress has become another arm of the Oval Office. We only pass the bills that Trump supports — and when the GOP doesn’t have the votes to get it done, they call a recess until enough members are harassed and bullied into submission.
