Consequences of Democrat’s Radical Immigration Policies
.

As the court case proceeds for Jose Medina, the man charged with the tragic murder of 18-year-old Loyola University freshman Sheridan Gorman, the reality of this heartbreaking situation continues to unfold. Medina was back in court recently for a status hearing and has pleaded not guilty to all charges, which include first-degree murder and attempted first-degree murder. Sheridan's family attended the hearing, where they shared a powerful statement calling for immediate changes to our nation's immigration policies.
.

As reported by CBS News, Medina is a Venezuelan migrant who was living in the U.S. illegally, a fact confirmed by the Department of Homeland Security.

This devastating loss highlights exactly why we must take immediate action. The influx of millions of illegals under the previous administration is draining our resources and making our communities less safe, putting us all at risk. While Niki Conforti fully supports legal immigration, she firmly believes that the previous administration’s open-border policies were unacceptable. In Congress, Niki plans to prevent future tragedies like this by fighting for strict immigration reforms and prioritizing public safety:

1. 1. Securing the Border: The federal government must enforce the laws on the southern border and continue constructing the wall.
2. 2. Deporting Violent Criminals: Niki supports expanding ICE and ensuring the swift deportation of violent criminals.

While Democrats like Sean Casten support dangerous policies that shield violent criminals from deportation, we know the truth: refusing to deport these offenders makes every resident of the 6th District less safe. We must prioritize the safety of our communities and enforce the law to protect our citizens. Please keep Sheridan Gorman’s family in your prayers as they seek justice.
