This message is longer than usual, but I want to share my story with
you so you can understand why I fight so hard for Texas, and why I’m
asking you to join me in this movement today.

I was born in Wichita Falls, Texas and raised in Duncanville and
Longview. Like many Texans, I grew up with family, faith, and
community shaping my life. 

I was active in baseball, Boy Scouts, and track and field. Even early
on, I knew education was my key to a better future.

After graduating from the University of Texas at Austin and earning my
law degree from Vanderbilt, I married the love of my life, Cecilia, in
1981 on the San Antonio Riverwalk. 

Forty-four years later, it’s still the best decision I’ve ever
made.

A few years later, in 1984, my life changed forever. While jogging, a
tree fell on me, leaving me partially paralyzed.

I could have given up. Instead, I turned to my faith and drew strength
from my family and friends. I chose to be defined not _by my
challenges,_ but by how I responded to them.
  James 1:12 became my anchor: 
_"Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he
has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life, which God has
promised to those who love him."_
That verse carried me through the hardest days. And it still drives me
in my fight for Texas today.

Before becoming Governor, I served as Attorney General of Texas, where
I earned a reputation as one of the nation’s toughest defenders of
liberty. I took on the Obama Administration, suing more than two dozen
times to block federal overreach and protect religious freedom, the
Second Amendment, and the rule of law.

Those fights taught me something important: when Texas leads, America
follows.

Here’s why I’m telling you this: our state and our country have
faced trials, too. 

From Biden’s disastrous open border to woke indoctrination in
schools to runaway inflation — we’ve all felt the weight. But like
I learned in my own life, we can rise above these challenges if we
stay steadfast and fight together.

Texas brighter, safer, freer, and more prosperous for generations to
