Dear Friend,
Our region has experienced one of the largest fires in California’s history. The LNU Lightning Complex fires have forced thousands of people to evacuate their communities, destroyed hundreds of homes, and left many families with nothing.
The federal government is here to help individuals harmed by these devasting wildfires. The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has approved Individual Assistance to help individuals rebuild, repair and replace housing and other personal property not covered by insurance. And, Small Business Administration (SBA) loans may also be available to individuals and businesses to repair or replace disaster-damaged property, inventory, and supplies as well as to homeowners and renters to repair or replace disaster-related damages to homes or personal property.
It can be challenging to navigate all the resources available to fire survivors as they rebuild their lives following devastating wildfires. That's why I've developed this Fire Recovery Guide to help individuals, families, and businesses as they work through this process.
Our recovery is only just beginning. My staff and I are here to help our constituents every step of the way as we recover and rebuild. And, I will continue to work to ensure that our communities have every available federal resource necessary to get back on their feet. Should you need anything, my staff and I are here to help.
