We're going to get through the coronavirus outbreak together. If you are experiencing symptoms or are looking for more information, you can visit the website of the CDC or the Texas Department of Health. We are closely monitoring the situation and its effects on the people of Texas and our nation as we work together to keep our families and communities safe.
Hey John,
2018 was a huge year for Texas Democrats. With your help, we can make 2020 even bigger.
We are only 9 seats away from flipping the Texas House Blue -- make a contribution to help us win in November >>>
When Texas Republicans decided to start an underhanded redistricting process in 2003, they honed in on Tarrant County and redrew district maps to punish my mentor and friend, Rep. Martin Frost, for his role drawing district lines in 1991. The GOP drew what they thought was an airtight map for seats in Congress and the statehouse.
But while North Texas has changed over the years, the Republican Party hasn’t. That’s why these races are tighter than ever.
In House District 92, the margin of victory for the Texas GOP in 2018 was one of the slimmest in the state -- within 2.4% of winning -- setting the stage for a Democratic victory in November.
And in House District 96, Texas Republicans only won this district by 4 percentage points in 2018, and in the time that’s passed since, a shift in diversity and demographic changes have set the stage for a Democratic victory in 2020.
We’re closer than you think. But in order to win in November, we need to build on our momentum. Chip in $20.20 right now to help us flip these key target districts and take back the Texas House >>>
