Dear John,

I wanted to write to you personally today to share something simple, and I hope, a little uplifting.

We’ve created a small collection of free downloadable resources inspired by the natural world, and I wanted to make sure they are available to you.

I often find that in the middle of everything happening in the world, especially when the news about nature feels heavy, it helps to pause and reconnect with the beauty of the natural world itself. That sense of connection is part of what inspired these resources.

You may also have come across our recent Act Now for Nature appeal or seen some of our work shared more widely. At Population Matters, our focus is on understanding the links between population, biodiversity, and the health of our shared environment, and on supporting evidence-based approaches that help protect our shared natural world for future generations.

Across the world, nature is under increasing pressure. Wildlife populations are declining in many regions, and ecosystems such as Brazil’s Cerrado - one of the most biodiverse savannahs on Earth - are changing rapidly under the combined pressures on land and nature – such as global population growth.

It can feel like a lot to take in. But it also reinforces why this work matters. Because at its heart, it is about something very simple: a future where people and nature can thrive together.

That is what sits behind everything we do, and why I wanted to share these resources with you.

They’re designed as small, quiet moments of connection - something creative, reflective, and rooted in the natural world we all share. You’re very welcome to share them with friends, family, or colleagues who care about protecting nature too.

Thank you for taking the time to engage with this work, and for being part of a community that cares about the future of nature.

With best wishes,
