The free Selston Films in the Park event, brought to you by Ashfield District Council, offers two family-friendly films and a full day of entertainment. Gates open at 1pm, with Peter Rabbit 2 hitting the big screen at 2pm. Then at 6pm, the park will come alive with the feel‑good musical favourite Hairspray, perfect for dancing, singing, and celebrating a summer evening together.
Throughout the day, you can also enjoy a wide range of attractions including inflatables, face painting, music, local traders, and a fully stocked bar.

The Nottingham Craft Beer Festival returns for its eighth year - the perfect early Father's Day treat for beer-loving dads! Sneinton Market Avenues provides a unique atmosphere with beer stalls taking over the avenues lined by independent small businesses.Â
More than 30 breweries will be in attendance, showcasing their craft beer produced locally, nationally and beyond. Alongside, tasty street food will be on offer from a range of food traders, plus live entertainment curated by The Grove. Saturday day tickets are now sold out but there is still availability for the evening sessions.

Nottingham Puppet Festival returns with a city-wide celebration of puppets and people, opening with a free event in the city centre on Saturday 27 June. A trail of performances and walkabouts will take place at outdoor spaces like Old Market Square, Listergate, and Carrington Street.
The festival features a full programme of puppet-based performances, workshops and exhibitions, including The Enormous Crocodile at Theatre Royal (Thursday 2 - Sunday 5 July) - a mischievous musical based on Roald Dahl’s snappy book.Â

Saturday 27 June: Rum & Reggae Festival An incredible programme of reggae legends and live acts, alongside street food vendors, tropical cocktails, and premium rums. There will be colourful décor, infectious rhythms, and an atmosphere guaranteed to transport you straight to the islands!
Sunday 28 June: GirlyPop Festival Expect dazzling tribute performances to Olivia Rodrigo, Taylor Swift, Sabrina Carpenter, Chappell Roan, Ariana Grande and Beyoncé, reimagined with bold visuals, stunning staging, and high-impact styling.

There's fairground fun for all the family this weekend at Woodthorpe Grange Park. All your favourite rides will be in attendance, such as the Waltzers, Dodgems, Tea Cups, and Helter Skelter, plus games and food stalls.
The fair is open from 4.30pm-8.30pm today, 12.30pm-8.30pm on Saturday and 12.30pm-6.30pm on Sunday. Free parking is also available.

As well as the music, there will be the Little Splendours children’s area, a silent disco, comedy, fairground rides, an independent market, gourmet food and drink, and fringe entertainment.
