Thank you to everyone who voted, volunteered, donated, or opened their doors to talk with me about what matters in this important election. I am so deeply honored by your support and celebrate this exciting milestone with every one of you.

This was a crowded and competitive primary, and I want to thank Nirav Shah, Troy Jackson, Shenna Bellows and Angus King III for running campaigns that pushed all of us to be better and gave Democratic voters real and good choices. I also want to thank every town clerk and elections official across the state for their work tabulating a close and complicated race. This process took time because it's supposed to, and that care is exactly what voters deserve.

Maine's next governor will have real work to do tackling the very real challenges we face. Health care, housing, education, property tax relief, and making sure working families can actually get ahead. And standing up to a reckless President who doesn’t care about Maine people.
