Brush Collection Updates

Brush collection [ [link removed] ]

Last week's storms left behind downed branches and tree debris throughout the community. Public Works forestry crews have been working across the Village to respond to storm-related damage, with a focus on safely clearing roads and sidewalks.

If you still have storm-related brush to dispose of, place it at the curb and contact Public Works at (630) 554-3242, submit a request through the MyCivic311 app, or report it online by clicking here. [ [link removed] ]

The next scheduled Village-wide Brush Collection begins July 6 for Zone A and July 13 for Zone B, providing another opportunity to clear brush from your property.  For more information and to find your zone, click here. [ [link removed] ]

Thank you for your patience as crews continue cleanup efforts throughout Oswego.

Water Conservation

Conserving water today helps protect Oswego's future.

Oswego's current water supply comes from a deep underground aquifer, but according to the Illinois Office of Water Resources, water is being withdrawn nearly twice as fast as it can naturally replenish. As our community prepares to transition to a long-term Lake Michigan water supply through WaterLink, it's important that we all do our part to use water efficiently.

Please remember current watering restrictions when using sprinklers or automatic watering systems:

• Even-numbered addresses: Water on even calendar dates
• Odd-numbered addresses: Water on odd calendar dates
• Watering hours: 4 to 9 a.m. and 6 to 9 p.m.
• Non-addressed properties: Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays during approved hours

Hand watering gardens, trees and plants is permitted at any time. Please note that planting sod, grass seed and new landscaping is prohibited during July and August, and certain new landscaping projects or pool fills may require a free permit through the Village.

Every small step helps conserve this essential resource as we invest in a sustainable water future for generations to come.

Questions? Contact Public Works at 630-554-3242.
