I'll be honest with you: you won't find TN-07 at the top of anyone's list of races to watch. Not yet, at least. The pundits see 40 years of Republican control and a freshly gerrymandered map, and they write us off before we even start.

But I'm not running on what the pundits see. I'm running on what we're seeing on the ground — and on what's been happening in elections all across this country.

Since Trump took office in 2025, Democrats have overperformed by about 15 points across about 40 elections. And that’s not just happening in traditionally Democratic areas. It’s happening in the ones that voted heavily for Donald Trump in 2024.

* In Iowa, Democrats won a state Senate seat in a district Trump had carried — a swing of more than 20 points.
* In Wisconsin, a Democratic-backed candidate won a state Supreme Court seat by about 10 points in a state Trump had just won — even as a flood of outside money poured in to stop her.
* In a deep-red Florida congressional district Trump carried by 30 points, the Republican hung on by just 14 — the margin cut by more than half.

And here's the one closest to home: right here in our own district's special election last year, the Democratic candidate ran well ahead of Trump's 2024 numbers.

The seats experts called safe aren't safe anymore. When working people decide they've had enough, when they organize instead of staying home, and when they use their anger at the voting booth, they win in places nobody expected.

That's the whole story of this campaign, and I’m here to tell you TN-07 is more winnable than anyone in Washington wants to admit.

The only thing standing between us and a win is resources — the people power it takes to organize, register, and turn out every voter they tried to silence.
