She's been my best friend for 14 years, now, we're getting married!

COVID-19 is disrupting all our lives. For local resources & updates click here. If you want to pause emails from me for 30-days please click here.

I'm usually pretty private about my personal life, but I'm SUPER EXCITED to share that I'm getting married!

Amanda has been my best friend since we graduated from the University of Tampa together 14 years ago. Frankly, I've asked her for dates many times over the years, and I suppose I finally wore her down! 😉

Even bigger news, I'm going to be a dad to two AMAZING twins, Flynn and Lola. Don't worry, I've been working on my french toast recipe, reviewing all the Lego building books, and working on reviving my baseball throwing arm so I'll be good and prepared for the years ahead.

So, where did all this come from?

Amanda and I were inseparable at UT mainly because she was the honors student and Oxford scholar who made sure I did my homework and kept me afloat in Dr. Rublee's world affairs classes.

She got married shortly after graduating and I went off to the Navy. In 2013, Amanda suddenly and unexpectedly found herself as a full-time, sole parent of seven month old babies. She moved across the country and started a new life for herself and the twins.

She's truly the strongest most amazing woman I know. In 2014, she started her own practice as a financial advisor, helping women in transition get their affairs in order, provide for their families, and plan for their futures. Frankly y'all, I'm just along for the ride with this girl. She's incredible and I'm so lucky she's settling for a nerd like me! 🤣

I could not be more excited for the years ahead. It's a truly special time in our lives. I'm laser focused on the task at hand and winning this election in a few weeks but Amanda, as you would imagine, is already hard at work on wedding plans. I look forward to seeing you there. God knows, after everything we've been through in 2020, we deserve a good open bar in 2021!
