On Saturday, the U.S. House voted on HR 8015 — Delivering for America Act , which would have ensured compensation of US Postal Service employees, timely mail delivery and prioritization of election ballot mail, and restored normal hours for most post offices. Despite representing a largely rural district that relies on postal delivery services, Jason Smith voted no.

Smith supports Trump’s attacks on the Postal Service and helps Trump as he undermines the legitimacy of the upcoming election (because he knows he is losing). He would rather harm his constituents, who very much rely on the USPS, than allow people to vote easily. Whether it’s his votes against any coronavirus relief, or his votes against the USPS, a vital economic lifeline for our neighbors and residents of the 8th District, Rep. Smith is clearly a danger to our health and our livelihoods. [[link removed]]
