This bill can lower energy costs AND deliver affordable clean energy

Hi—

Did you see Dani’s message about the Energy Bills Relief Act? This new bill stands up to Trump’s disastrous and expensive energy policies with climate smart solutions that actually lower costs.

If you’re like me, you’ve seen your utility bills balloon like crazy over the last few years. And you’re probably frustrated at this administration’s utter failure to stop these increases and help working families make ends meet.

Fortunately, we have the clean energy solutions to tackle this crisis—but we need our members of Congress to show solidarity for them too. Add your voice to the thousands of Evergreen advocates who’ve already taken action. ([link removed])

Thanks for getting involved.

The new Energy Bills Relief Act, introduced by House Democrats in Congress, contains game-changing solutions for lowering utility bills and cutting climate pollution.

Americans deserve relief now, which is why we need to show Congress we support this important bill.

TAKE ACTION ([link removed])

Hi friend,

Trump and his Billionaire Big Polluter allies have been blocking clean energy at every turn—leaving families with skyrocketing utility bills.

But high prices aren’t inevitable.

The administration’s choice to prop up dirty, expensive fossil fuels is a deliberate one. Thankfully, Democrats are fighting back with real solutions: the Energy Bills Relief Act would lower costs by prioritizing the clean, reliable, and affordable energy that Americans need right now.

The bill would cut climate pollution and lead to cheaper energy bills for millions of people. But no good effort gets through this Congress without lots of momentum, so we need to create a massive show of support for it now and increase the odds it will pass, hopefully in the next Congress.

Will you write to your lawmakers today? ([link removed])

The Energy Bills Relief Act would:

Reverse some of Trump’s worst clean energy attacks and stop him from abusing his power to prop up expensive coal plants.

Modernize and strengthen our power grid to ensure families can afford to keep their electricity running in an era of booming demand and extreme weather disruptions.

Make data centers pay their fair share of electricity bills, rather than kicking the costs to families and small businesses.

Help millions of low-income families pay for their utility bills by expanding the Low Income Heat Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) and the Weatherization Assistance Program.

Restore the Inflation Reduction Act’s tax credits and investments for solar energy and new clean energy infrastructure projects in our communities.

It’s a much needed alternative to Trump’s disastrous agenda, which has done nothing but chain Americans to expensive, volatile fossil fuels.

Our health, our wallets, and our climate all deserve better. Tell your member of Congress to support the Energy Bills Relief Act and stand up to Trump’s expensive and disastrous energy policies today. ([link removed])
