Now let me tell you why this mission means so much to me.
My name is Eduardo Verástegui.
Several years ago, I learned firsthand about the horrific reality of child
trafficking. What I heard broke my heart.
Children were being bought and sold.
Families were being torn apart.
Lives were being destroyed.
I couldn't forget it.
I couldn't stay silent.
I kept asking myself one question:
"What if it were my child?"
That question changed my life.
What started as a film project became a mission and a calling.
That calling eventually led me to help produce the film Sound of Freedom.
Not for fame.
Not for awards.
But because I believed people needed to see the truth.
For years, many people said the film would never succeed.
Doors closed.
Studios walked away.
People told us to give up.
But when innocent children are suffering, silence is not an option.
And while the film helped awaken millions of people to this crisis, awareness
alone is not enough.
That is why we created the Sound of Freedom Foundation.
Our mission is simple:
To stop the sale of God's children.

poverty, instability, loneliness, and fear.
