Earlier this month, we asked you to tell us what's on your mind. Hundreds of people across Colorado's First District took the time to complete our Summer Priorities Survey, and I want to thank every single person who participated.

Your responses were thoughtful and a powerful reminder of why staying connected to the people I serve matters so much. Whether you selected healthcare, climate action, reproductive freedom, public education, lowering costs, or protecting our environment, every issue on our survey matters. They all affect real people, families, and communities here in Colorado. But when we looked at the results, three priorities stood out above the rest:

Protecting our democracy and voting rights

Preserving Social Security and Medicare

Fighting back against the Trump administration

And Johh, I want you to know that I hear you loudly and clearly.

Protecting our democracy has been one of my top priorities throughout my time in Congress. I've supported efforts to strengthen voting rights, defend free and fair elections, and fight back against attempts to undermine public trust in our democratic institutions.

When it comes to Social Security and Medicare, I've consistently fought against proposals that would weaken, privatize, or cut the benefits that millions of seniors have earned over a lifetime of work. These programs are promises, and I believe we must keep them.

And as the Trump administration continues to pursue policies that threaten reproductive freedom, public health, environmental protections, and critical government services, I'm working every day alongside my Democratic colleagues to hold this administration accountable and stand up for Colorado families. Here at home, that means continuing to advocate for Medicare for All, protecting access to reproductive care, supporting investments in clean energy and climate resilience, and making sure Colorado communities have the resources they need to thrive.

Your survey responses help guide the conversations I have, the priorities I fight for, and the work my team and I do every day.
