Last night, all four candidates vying for the GOP nomination to challenge Governor Katie Hobbs this November took the debate stage, and just wow.
What we witnessed was both laughable and troubling.
The laughable:
One candidate was adamant that robots will soon take over our economy. Another argued that we need to use biometrics to verify voter eligibility. And then there was David Schweikert acting as if he can actually win the primary.
The troubling:
Andy Biggs acted like he was already running in the general election. He repeatedly highlighted his bipartisan work and tried to present himself as a reasonable, everyday Arizonan.
But we know better.
It's clear that Andy Biggs is on track to become the Republican nominee.
Yes, you read that right. Election denier and Freedom Caucus member Andy Biggs could be the candidate standing opposite Governor Hobbs this November.
The stakes couldn't be higher.
We must ensure that Governor Hobbs wins reelection.
