Applications are now open for the next cohort of It Gets Better: Youth Voices, our paid leadership program for LGBTQ+ young people ages 14–18 who will be in high school this fall.

Youth Voices is for young people with stories to tell, ideas to share, and a passion for making things better for LGBTQ+ youth in their schools, online communities, hometowns, and beyond.

As part of the program, participants build skills in storytelling, advocacy, leadership, and digital media while connecting with LGBTQ+ mentors, professionals, and a cohort of other young leaders from across the U.S.

And Youth Voices do big things.

Past participants have appeared on national TV shows like The Kelly Clarkson Show, spoken at NYC Pride and SXSW EDU, written essays and poems for anthologies, inspired comic strips, created short films and educational resources, and helped shape campaigns that reach LGBTQ+ youth everywhere.
