When the team asked me if I wanted to email you for the first time, I had to make sure I took the chance to say this: thank you.
Whether you've donated, volunteered, signed a petition, attended an event, shared one of our emails, or simply stayed engaged in the fight for Texas, you're part of this team. None of the work we're doing is possible without people like you.
My name is Juan Carlos, and I'm the Communications Director for the Texas Democratic Party.
Behind the scenes, my job is to help tell the story of what's happening in Texas, hold Republicans accountable, and make sure Texans hear about the people and issues shaping our state's future. That means working with reporters, helping craft our messaging, and sharing updates from every corner of Texas.
You'll be hearing from me from time to time with news, stories from the campaign trail, and a look at the work we're doing to build a stronger Democratic Party across our state.
But today, I just wanted to introduce myself and say thank you for being here.
The fact that you're reading this email means you're already part of something bigger than any one candidate or campaign. You're part of a movement that's working to organize communities, elect Democrats, and build a Texas that works for everyone.
I'm excited to be in this fight with you.
Talk soon,
JC
Director of Communications
P.S. If you’re able, we’d love to still count your contribution this week. You can use this link to chip in: [link removed] [[link removed]]
We are the Texas Dems. We're protecting Texans from Republican extremists and their unending stream of misinformation statewide. Let's be clear, Texas Republicans have drawn district lines to choose the voters they want, and D.C. Republicans have poured tens of millions of dollars in dark money into Texas. We are on the front lines of pushing back against their influence with voters.
Taking Texas back from extremist Republicans is going to take all of us. Will you chip in now to help us elect Democrats who will work hard to represent all Texans, and not just the wealthy few? [[link removed]]
