Team, it’s Governor JB Pritzker. This is a longer email, but I hope you’ll take just a couple of minutes to read it. It’s important.

I’ve had the privilege of working alongside Juliana Stratton for the past seven years — through good days and hard ones, through urgent crises and moments of historic progress. I can say this without hesitation: Juliana Stratton is one of the most principled, courageous, and effective leaders I’ve ever known.

As lieutenant governor, she’s been my closest partner in building a stronger, fairer Illinois. We’ve stood shoulder to shoulder as we expanded access to healthcare, protected reproductive rights, raised wages, invested in mental health, and defended our democracy from attacks by the far right.

Juliana has never backed down from a fight, especially when working families are on the line.

Now, she’s stepping up to run for the United States Senate — because the stakes are too high to sit on the sidelines.

Let me be clear: Donald Trump and MAGA Republicans in Congress are actively trying to tear apart everything we’ve built here in Illinois. They passed a budget that slashes Medicaid, guts food assistance, and threatens to close down rural hospitals. Meanwhile, they funded rogue agents to attack our immigrant communities. It’s cruel. It’s reckless. And it’s dangerous.

Juliana is running for U.S. Senate to fight back. She’s the kind of leader we need in the Senate: bold, experienced, and deeply rooted in the values of justice, service, and equity.

But right now, she’s facing a tough race. Her Republican opponent is pummeling her with attacks, trying to slander her record.

We can’t let him succeed. Juliana’s campaign is powered by grassroots supporters like you — not special interests. And in this moment, she needs our help to keep building a movement strong enough to win.
