Friend,

A record El Niño is forming in the Pacific right now. Scientists call it 'Godzilla.'1

It will pour fuel on an already overheating world. Hotter summers, deeper drought, heavier floods.

And yet, world leaders spent the last two weeks letting Big Oil's lobbyists stall climate action at the climate talks in Bonn.2 The voices of the frontline communities hit first and worst got pushed aside. The seat where the United States should sit grows emptier by the day, as if our leaders think they can opt out of a crisis that no one will escape.

Bonn ending starts the clock to set the agenda at COP31 in November. We're pushing forward with The Great Power Shift, a global campaign to end our dependence on fossil fuels. Whether we can make a difference at COP31 depends on what you do today.

This is what The Great Power Shift is calling for. It's our plan to take power from the polluters and hand it to people, with affordable renewable energy no oil executive can hold hostage.

Our demands:

No more public funding for fossil fuel companies
Oil and gas companies should pay for their fair share
Clean, affordable energy should be a right

Your gift fuels the organizers and allows us to ramp up pressure between now and COP31 this November. That's the window where the agenda is won or lost. Big Oil will show up for it. We have to show up bigger with people power.

P.S. Forecasters didn't pick the name 'Godzilla' lightly. A record El Niño is now a better-than-60% bet, set to make the coming year one of the hottest on record. The lobbyists are counting on us to look away. Support our work today to put The Great Power Shift on the agenda at COP31.
