John,
We’ve been having such beautiful sunny weather in western Minnesota. It’s the kind that’s made for playing hooky ... except when you have the privilege and responsibility of representing about 700,000 decent, hardworking people.
Collin Peterson voted by proxy on Saturday giving the voice and vote of Minnesota’s 7th to a liberal Democrat Member from Texas. As your next Representative, I pledge that I will never give away that privilege, and I will always be there to represent you.
Maybe after 30 years in Washington, Peterson has lost sight of what it means to be for the people. Maybe he just didn’t feel like going to work this weekend.
But when you have a job this important, with so many people depending on you, playing hooky isn’t acceptable.
Considering how close this race is, I’m surprised that Peterson is willing to let the citizens of Minnesota’s 7th down like this. If he’ll vote proxy now, what other responsibilities will he shrug off in the future?
Will you please do me a quick favor? Will you forward this email to your friends and family to spread the word that it’s time to retire Collin Peterson?
With your help and support, I can beat Peterson this November, and be the representative that Minnesotans deserve — one who actually shows up for work.
Thanks,
Michelle Fischbach
