Hello John. Sharlese, Roy's finance director here.
In a moment, I'm going to ask you to make a contribution of $10 to re-elect Roy, but first let me explain what's at stake:
CHIP IN TO RE-ELECT ROY >> [link removed]
Here's the situation. Right now we're about $80,000 from our $250,000 August goal. I know that's a lot of ground to make up in a week, but this team has exceeded every other grassroots goal we've had to hit.
It's my job to ensure we have the resources it takes to re-elect Roy -- resources that have a direct impact on when we communicate, how we'll reach voters, and get out the vote. With early voting starting in less than 60 days, each dollar makes a difference in our campaign to reach every voter in North Carolina.
But the summer months are notoriously difficult for fundraising, and since we're not hosting in-person events, it's become harder and harder to get the resources we need to power this campaign to victory.
Since July, Roy's far-right opponent has been raking in cash hand over fist at dangerous, irresponsible in-person fundraisers.
And now to make matters worse, the Republican Governors Association has pledged to spend whatever it takes to defeat Roy - they've named him their "top target" this cycle!
If we fall short of our August goal, we risk being outspent by both the RGA and Roy's far-right opponent.
We just can't afford that, John.
If you're able, can Roy and the team count on you to rush a contribution of $10? Every dollar goes a long way towards hitting this goal and re-electing Roy >>

Cooper for North Carolina
We hope everyone is staying safe during this ongoing health emergency. The Cooper Campaign is now working remotely, and we encourage all those who are able to practice social distancing. We've taken the step of cancelling all in-person fundraising for the time being, making grassroots online outreach and fundraising even more critical than before. Roy and the rest of the team will keep working for a more prosperous, better-educated, and healthy North Carolina, and we hope you will stay with us in this fight. Further information on the Coronavirus and our response can be found here.
