Hi, it's Rebecca Bennett, the Democratic nominee running to flip New Jersey's 7th district. Before entering this race, I served in the Navy as a helicopter pilot and a test pilot.

If you don't know what a test pilot is, what we do can be boiled down to evaluating new, experimental technology. We're the first folks in the cockpit, figuring out what works, problem-solving on the spot, and the whole time, the stakes are life or death.

Bottom line: I know what to do under pressure.

Right now, we're facing a real leadership crisis in our country. Congressmembers are being put under pressure on the job, and they're floundering while we all watch. As a result, Congress has failed to hold a wannabe Dictator accountable, and Americans are paying the price.

Since Trump championed the obliteration of the ACA, millions are set to lose their healthcare or be forced off it. We've been launched into another forever war without a plan. The cost of living has continued to skyrocket.

This is a direct result of too many members of Congress pledging fealty to Trump as a means of staying in power. The GOP has chosen to stick by Trump instead of fighting for the people they were trusted to serve. It's unacceptable.

Tom Kean Jr., my Republican opponent, is a prime example of this. He cracks under pressure. He caves to Trump. He can't be trusted.
