John,

Many of us know the Chattahoochee as Georgia's most famous
river. But with your help, together we'll turn it into
Georgia's most connected and accessible river.

As a part of our 5-year goal to protect 1,000 miles of rivers, The
Trust for Public Land and partners have begun work on a long-term
vision to transform 125 miles of continuous trails and parks along
the Chattahoochee, from Buford Dam to Chattahoochee Bend State Park
- the project is called Chattahoochee RiverLands. Once
completed, it will reunite the River with the Metro Atlanta Region and
link suburban, urban, and rural communities into a continuous public
realm.

But despite the Chattahoochee's presence, most people in the
region feel disconnected from the River, unable to enjoy this
incredible natural resource in their own backyard.

Together, we'll change that. Your support will help us
protect over 100 miles of river and create a common ground for
recreation and transportation that equitably serves the diverse and
expanding communities of the Metro Atlanta Region.

When you support The Trust for Public Land today by making a
generous gift, you'll propel forward our projects to protect
1,000 miles of river in five years, and connect historically
underserved neighborhoods to the Chattahoochee River by offering
opportunities to create new public space and parks - providing
access for those who need them most.

One hundred and twenty-five miles of access to river and land in
the shadow of a major U.S. city is a big project. Thanks to the
support of our members, The Trust for Public Land and our partners are
already off to a great start, with 48 miles of camp and paddle trails,
a bike-pedestrian bridge, construction of a new park, building 10
miles of greenway, and more. But there's so much more to be
done.

Our vision for a network of greenways, blueways, parks, and the
destinations they create will bring people to the water's edge,
promote stewardship and conservation of the river, and reveal the
subtle magic of the Chattahoochee to all.

John, will
you support our work along the Chattahoochee River to give people of
all ages and abilities the opportunity to move along the RiverLands
Greenway freely and comfortably? So many people are relying on you to
say "Yes."

P.S. The Chattahoochee RiverLands project is so big -
connecting 19 cities across seven counties - I can't
squeeze a map of it into this email. But when you support this and
other efforts to create parks and protect public land -
you'll be part of something with an impact far bigger than the
eye can see or the mind can imagine. Every $1 you donate saves $5 of
land. Please let me hear from you today.
