The City Safeguarding Team within Adult Social Care has one permanent full time vacancy for a qualified Social Worker to join the team.

The starting salary is ?28,785 (Level One) rising to ?30,507 (Level Two) on the first year anniversary, subject to satisfactory completion of a probation period (pro rata for part time workers).
?
This role is also open to NQSWs, who will start the role on a salary of ?25,295.
?
More experienced Social Workers could earn up to ?32,878 depending on PQ accreditation.

Team Information

The City Safeguarding team are a crucial and fast paced team who work with adults and older people who are at risk and are experiencing adult abuse.?? ?
The team work within the Care Act to ensure that appropriate support and interventions are in place. Making Safeguarding Personal is a key element in this role to ensure that the person?s outcomes are considered and this is balanced with risk.?
Multi-agency working is also essential in supporting the vulnerable person in protection planning and minimising risk.

All Social Workers
? ?
Nottingham City Council Adult Social Care offers a robust ASYE programme for newly qualified Social Workers, and other various development programmes for all Social Workers, such as AMHP qualifications and Practice Educator status.
??
All permanent Social Workers are given the opportunity to rotate into different areas of Adult Social Care, and take part in project work at a strategic level when available.

Team Information

Mental Health Social Care Teams are specialist teams that commission and review a wide variety of packages of care for citizens who are in contact with secondary mental health services, with the aim of promoting independence and wellbeing.
?
In addition to undertaking initial assessments and submitting packages of care for approval, Social Workers regularly write reports for Mental Health Review Tribunals, undertake Mental Health Act Assessments (Approved Mental Health Professionals) and formally assess the capacity of citizens to make key decisions about different aspects of their life.
?
This team also provides a small specialist service for citizens who are struggling with severe drug and alcohol related problems.
