First, I want to say thanks to everyone who chipped in their money or their time to help see us through Trump’s visit last week. As Matt’s finance director, I had my eyes on ActBlue all week, and just when I was worried that we might not be able to respond fully, this grassroots team stepped up and allowed us to keep the momentum going. Thank you.

But we’re less than three months from election day, so we can’t afford to slow down now! Trump may be gone, but the impact he has made on this race by promoting and praising our opponent during his visit will echo all the way through November. That’s why for our August Fundraising Deadline, we need to post a huge number to prove Trump’s visit did not derail our campaign.

September will be an important month for the campaign. We are planning to increase our advertising buys and double down on our digital organizing efforts. We’ll be hard at work educating voters about the vote-by-mail process and ensuring everyone requests and returns their ballots EARLY if they choose to vote by mail.

And I do not doubt that big-name Republicans will continue to drop by the district to prop up our opponent and send huge checks his way.
