Here’s why: On June 30th, campaigns like ours have to file a public finance report. And every Republican strategist, every political analyst, and every dark money group in Washington opens it up and runs the same mental calculation: Is this a seat Democrats can keep? A strong number gives us the momentum we need to sprint towards victory on Election Day. A weak one tells the GOP to “open the floodgates” because we’re vulnerable.
