With the election right around the corner, Donald Trump is trying to secure another term by refusing to fund the postal service. He even said so himself:

"They need that money in order to have the post office work so it can take all of these millions and millions of ballots...But if they don't get those two items that means you can't have universal mail-in voting..."

Millions of Americans -- especially in rural communities -- depend on the United States Postal Service to receive medicine, bills, paychecks, mail-in ballots, and more.

Not only will this threaten our ability to safely vote by mail this November, it harms countless Americans across the country who depend on the USPS for critical services. That includes over 97,000 veterans who are employed by the USPS.

Even worse? My Republican opponent, David Schweikert, just turned his back -- yet again -- on Arizonans by voting AGAINST providing the necessary emergency funding for the USPS.

This is blatant and outrageous voter suppression -- plain and simple. We cannot allow the GOP to sabotage this sacred institution, and our cherished right to vote, so close to Election Day.

Sign my urgent petition to demand the Senate provide emergency funding for the USPS immediately. This is too important to delay any further.

The USPS is a lifeline for Arizonans. As he has so many times before, Schweikert has betrayed his constituents. His complete disregard for our health and wellbeing is not only cruel and heartless, it's shamelessly driven by his blind allegiance to extreme partisanship.

We need a leader who will work together for all of us, not play political games to rig the system. Arizonans deserve so much better in a representative.
