John,
We’ll be feeling the repercussions from COVID-19 and the ensuing economic crisis for a long time.
That’s why it’s particularly shameful that this administration and the United States Senate seem to have no plan and feel no urgency to help small businesses weather this storm.
These local institutions are the lifeblood of our communities, and I refuse to let this crisis sink them. And I have a plan to help small businesses here in IL-03 and across the country recover and thrive again.
Here are the key parts of my plan:
- Ensure big corporations pay their fair share of taxes
- Recategorize micro-businesses with 9 or fewer employees to face a smaller tax burden
- Empower community banks to provide loans to small businesses that need help most
- Invest in green businesses and technologies that put people back to work and help fight climate change
- Implement Medicare for All to relieve the cost of providing healthcare to employees that prevents so many small businesses from growing.
That’s what I’ll bring to the table if you send me to Congress. I hope to be one of many champions for our small businesses. Just like you, I’ve seen the reports of struggling businesses deciding to call it quits, and it breaks my heart. I’m livid that hardworking people are paying the price because some of our leaders didn’t take this seriously enough to get it under control.
Right now, I’d love your help getting my message out there—share my plan with your friends in IL-03:

Or, if you can, chip in to help fund this campaign and send me to Congress to fight as hard as I know how:
