WHAT HAPPENED THIS WEEK

With just 72 days until Election Day, the entire American election
process is up in the air as Democrats race to find the weak links for
exploitation. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who has long pushed for an
unnecessary universal mail-in voting process, is now fueling the
engineered chaos surrounding our U.S. Postal Service. This weekend, she
called a rare "emergency" session in the middle of summer recess so the
U.S. House of Representatives could vote on a $25 billion funding bill
for the U.S. Post Office that Democrats say is needed to ensure their
mail-in election.

What's clear is that Democrats' goal is not to see a free and fair
election for every American. Our election processes are vulnerable from
beginning to end, and those vulnerabilities are being exploited by
groups who subvert our systems to serve their purposes. We know that
universal vote by mail, or sending ballots to everyone on the voter
rolls, opens numerous doors to election fraud, inaccuracies, and delays.
It is a way to send mail ballots to incorrect or ineligible voters,
circumvent voter ID laws, and cause voter confusion and intimidation. We
cannot allow our elections to be altered without our consent, and we
must protect our voting rights in the face of these efforts.

Voting isn't enough this year. We need you to join us in this fight to
ensure a free, fair, and secure election all.

Onward!
Catherine Engelbrecht

TAKE ACTION

1. Make a plan to vote in person. It's the best way to ensure your vote
counts. And share that information with your friends and family. Despite
Democrats' push for a mail-in election, the U.S. Postal Service warned
us all last week that "it cannot guarantee all ballots cast by mail for
the November election will arrive in time to be counted, even if mailed
by state deadlines, raising the possibility that millions of voters
could be disenfranchised." (Associated Press
, "Post Office
warns states across US about mail voting," 8/15/2020)

2. Become a poll worker. National Poll Worker Recruitment Day is on
September 1, and this is great opportunity to sign up to work the polls
and strengthen our
democracy right in your community. Serving your community at the polls
is also an amazing way to work with friends and neighbors from other
parties and unite around the issue of election integrity for all voters.
America needs more poll workers now to ensure a safe, secure, and
accessible election in November. Plus, most poll workers get paid! Learn
more: HelpAmericaVote.gov .

3. Get trained. Take our online election worker trainings
on your own time, in your own home. We are
training a broad base of volunteers to defend election integrity in
polling places, voter registries, mail-in ballot review board, and final
tabulations.
